Africa-Press – Mozambique. Following the floods that displaced more than 49,000 families, the Governor of Maputo Province, Manuel Tule, met on Wednesday (18 February) with District Administrators and Presidents of Municipal Councils in order to define lines of action to ensure the safe resettlement of affected families.
On the occasion, the Provincial Director of Territorial Development and Environment, Mariamo José, informed that the Government has already identified an area of 472.8 hectares, corresponding to 4,621 land plots designated for the resettlement of the victims.
The official further added that data collection of the affected families is under way across the province, with a view to the subsequent allocation of the respective land plots.
