Meet the 18 Members of the Technical Committee for the Inclusive Political Dialogue

Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of the Republic, Daniel Francisco Chapo, under the provisions of paragraph 3 of article 2 of Law no. 1/2025, of April 11, having heard the leaders of the Political Parties that signed the Political Commitment for an Inclusive National Dialogue, approved the Regulation for the Organization and Operation of the Technical Committee created to materialize the Political Commitment for an Inclusive National Dialogue.

Furthermore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph 3 of article 2 of Law no. 1/2025, of 11 April, which approves the Political Commitment for an Inclusive National Dialogue, signed on 5 March 2025, between the Government and the Political Parties with seats in the Assembly of the Republic, the Provincial Assemblies and the Local Assembly, in conjunction with paragraph 1 of Clause Three of the Political Commitment for an Inclusive National Dialogue, after hearing the leaders of the signatory Political Parties, the Head of State appointed the following individuals to join the Technical Committee:

1. Edson da Graça Francisco Macuácua – FRELIMO – President of the Committee

2. Alberto João Ferreira Optimist Party for the Development of Mozambique (PODEMOS) – Vice-President of the Committee;

3. Saimone Muhambi Macuiana – RENAMO – Rapporteur of the Committee;

4. Laurinda Sílvia Pedro António Cheia – Democratic Movement Party of Mozambique (MDM) – Vice-Rapporteur of the Committee;

5. Johane Francisco Chibaio Zonjo – FRELIMO;

6. Fátima Abdulmanafe Sufo Jovo – Optimistic Party for the Development of Mozambique (PODEMOS);

7. Maria Ivone Bernardo Soares Selemane – RENAMO;

8. Casimiro da Cruz Pedro – Democratic Movement of Mozambique (MDM);

9. Nunes Paulo Nenele – Democratic Revolution Party (RD);

10. Sandra Odete Manjate – Democratic Revolution Party (RD);

11. Vânia Dulce Nhantumbo – Humanitarian Party of Mozambique (PAHUMO);

12. Quivela Intimo Cornélio – Humanitarian Party of Mozambique (PAHUMO);

13. Alberto Pedro Macie – Social Renewal Party (PARESO);

14. Elias José Matsimbe – Social Renewal Party (PARESO);

15. Ernesto Armando Cossa – National Reconciliation Party (PARENA);

16. Kelven Miguel Quenesse – National Reconciliation Party (PARENA);

17. Albino Paulo Manguene – New Democracy Party (ND); and

18. Berta Luís Muiambo – New Democracy Party (ND).

Three individuals are also members of the Technical Committee, nominated by invitation and selection from among citizens proposed by civil society organizations nationwide.
