Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Minister of National Defence, Cristóvão Chume, on Tuesday (05-03) received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Hüseyin Avni Aksoy, in a courtesy audience.
During the meeting, the leaders highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation between Mozambique and Turkey in the field of defence. Joint strategies and projects aimed at strengthening ties between the two states were discussed.
It will be recalled that the Minister of National Defence made a working visit to the Republic of Turkey in September, 2023. During that visit, cooperation relations were strengthened, with several legal agreements being signed in the field of defence.
Both parties expressed the desire to continue strengthening this strategic partnership, aiming to benefit both countries and promote security and stability in the region.
