Africa-Press – Mozambique. National companies signed more than 800 business and investment agreements during the 60th edition of the Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM-2025).
The agreements resulted from the registration of more than 1,178 contacts between the companies exhibiting at the event.
The data was released on Monday in Maputo by FACIM 2025 spokesperson Claire Zimba, in the balance of the exposition, which drew to a close on Sunday.
Zimba said that FACIM-2025 demonstrated that the country continues to experience consistent economic growth.
“It’s encouraging, and we believe that this year we can surpass last year’s numbers, at least in terms of approved investment projects. Last year, we had approximately 277 projects approved. Therefore, we can all understand that our objectives, from a performance perspective, are positive results. We will continue to clarify the participant numbers, as we could be very close to reaching the goal of 70,000 visitors,” he said.
Claire Zimba also said that FACIM 2025 had proved a space for consolidating Mozambique’s tourism economy.
