Mozambican technical mission visits Saudi Arabia

Africa-Press – Mozambique. Mozambique’s Deputy Minister of Tarde and Industry, Ludovina Bernado, is leading a technical mission to Saudi Arabia to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, an official source announced yesterday.

The technical mission has been working in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, since Saturday, a four-day visit aimed at consolidating discussions on proposed projects within the scope of bilateral meetings held during the visit of the Mozambican head of state, Filipe Nyusi, to the Arab country in March, according to a statement.

“The technical mission will meet with several public and private institutions, namely, the Ministry of Investments, the Saudi Fund for Development, the airport management company, the oil company Aramco, the companies SALIC – Saudi Agriculture and Livestock Investment Company and SABIC – Saudi Arabia’s Basic Industries Corporation, among others,” the official note details.

The Mozambican team will be seeking to identify potential investors and possible forms of financing, in addition to holding meetings between the chambers of commerce of the two countries.

During Filipe Nyusi’s visit to the Arab country in March, Mozambique and Saudi Arabia announced their intention to create a joint business council with the purpose of identifying investment opportunities in both countries.
