Africa-Press – Mozambique. Around 1,000 tons of fish of various species were exported to Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries from the Cahora Bassa Reservoir in Tete province in the first half of this year.
The exports are the produce of 460 fish farmers working in districts adjacent to the reservoir, who [in the same time period] also supplied the Mozambican market with around 1,300 tons.
Governor of Tete, Domingos Viola, says that his executive will continue to promote fishing and fish-farming in that part of the country.
