Mozambique and Eswatini: Trade is flowing, there are more areas to explore – Notícias

Africa-Press – Mozambique. Trade and friendly relations between Mozambique and the Kingdom of Eswatini are blooming, but there are still several areas where the two countries can increase cooperation, to their mutual benefit.

This is the understanding of outgoing Eswatini ambassador, Abednego Ntshangase, shared moments after presenting his farewell greetings to the President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, at the end of his five-year mission.

“The areas of cooperation are multiple, but we feel that a lot remains to be done, because Mozambique and Eswatini are neighbouring countries with great potential. We have already created a joint cooperation committee, and we are working towards its revitalisation, to make it more dynamic,” he said.

Abednego Ntshangase said that, during his stay as a diplomat in Mozambique, the two states had developed relations of friendship and cooperation, bringing the people of the two countries into a closer relationship.

“Mozambicans are a kind people. During my stay, we tried to make our relations stronger, to take them to a higher level. Currently, we can say that the bonds of friendship and cooperation are quite strong, which is why I consider my mission successful,” he said.

To a question from journalists, Ntshangase replied that it was not true that the King of Eswatini had fled the country, since “nothing could make him abandon his people”.

“In Eswatini, there is no reason for the king to abandon his people. Sadly, there are scenarios created by people of bad faith who only want to disunite us, as a country and as a people,” he said.

The diplomat allowed that the kingdom had experienced an incident of public disorder, in relation to which internal and external instigators were identified.

The most important thing, the ambassador said, was that work was underway to discover the real intention of the people who had been regularly disturbing law and order.
