Africa-Press – Mozambique. LAM- Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, SA – resumes, on December 19, direct flights between Maputo and Harare, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The General Director of LAM, João Carlos Pó Jorge, said that these flights are part of “the revitalisation of regional destinations” and that the adopted schedule provides the possibility of connecting to destinations beyond Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe.
These flights will also allow connections to passengers from cities such as Beira, Nampula, Tete and Johannesburg (in South Africa).
The resumption of this operation will contribute to improving exchanges between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, thus boosting tourism, investments, as well as the circulation of citizens from the two neighbouring countries.
The flights will be carried out with the Embraer 145 aircraft with a capacity of 50 seats, operated by MEX – Moçambique Expresso, a subsidiary of LAM, .
Departure from Maputo will be at 12:00 am, with arrival in Harare estimated at 1.50 pm. Flights will depart from Harare to Maputo at 2.40 pm, with arrival expected at 4.00 pm.
LAM had temporarily suspended flights on this route in March 2018.
