Africa-Press – Mozambique. The number of artists in Mozambique, such as singers and actors, who have been requesting authorisation from the General Command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) to wear police uniform for performance purposes, is increasing.
The scenario is however being followed with some concern, since the PRM understands that some of these performances do not lend the corporation unqualified support.
“Thus, in accordance with paragraph 2 of article 1 of the Uniform Regulation of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, approved by Decree No. 72/2016, of December 30, which establishes that the uniform models, their colours, badges, as well as other identifying signs of the PRM, are for the exclusive use of PRM members with police functions”, instruction nº 14, signed by the General Commander of the PRM, Bernardino Rafael, prohibits any further such use.
The instruction has been sent to all PRM provincial commanders.
