Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Mozambican Government has scheduled the sixth round of municipal elections for the 11th of October, 2023. These elections will take place, for the second consecutive time, under a new legislative approach, that is, with the election of mayors via the head of list of the winning party in each municipality.

The decision on the date of the elections was taken during the 8th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers in Maputo on Tuesday (22-03).
