Africa-Press – Mozambique. Mozambican Karate Association AMKKSI has released the following.
“It is with deep sadness that the Board of AMKKSI, Senseis and Athletes learned of the death of Sensei Jeronimo Quizito Chico, which occurred on Thursday, the 10th of August, in the district of Gilé, province of Zambézia, his birthplace.
“At this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Jyoshinmon family.
“We encourage Sensei, athletes and the entire Karate family to continue to tread the paths and teachings left by Sensei Quizito.
“We express our gratitude for Sensi Quizito’s contribution and dedication to Karate-Do in Mozambique.
“The funeral ceremonies will take place on the 13th of August, Sunday, in the province of Zambézia.”
Meanwhile, his students have announced: “In honor of this great man, whom karate, martial arts and sport in general lost, we will be meeting today, August 11th, at 6:30 pm, at the EDM Karate Dojo, to observe a moment of silence in memory of Mestre Quizito”.
