Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Mozambican defender of Atlético de Madrid, Reinildo, has undergone surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament [ACL] in his left knee suffered on the night of Saturday, February 25, in the match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, reported the club .

Immediately after the game, Atlético reported Reinildo’s injury through their official Twitter account.

Hours later, it uploaded a photograph of the player in which he can be seen lying in the hospital after the operation.

“The report offered by the club’s medical services indicates that the surgical intervention has passed without incident and as planned”, reads the statement issued by the club regarding the player’s health.

It was in the 20th minute when the rojiblanco player was fighting for the ball with Uruguayan Fede Valverde [Real Madrid]. When he put his foot in to get the ball out, he appeared at the moment of misfortune and in the videos you can see how Reinildo’s knee bends.
