Africa-Press – Mozambique. The National Communications Institute of Mozambique (INCM), the telecommunications regulatory authority, has issued a note suspending the new tariffs charged by mobile phone companies since May 4.
The measure comes in response to recommendations made by the government, through a decree approved at last week’s Council of Ministers meeting, which demanded “the immediate suspension” of the new tariffs.
According to the ICM document, additional studies are currently being carried out in coordination with telephone operators in order to follow up on the recommendations of the Council of Ministers.
