Africa-Press – Mozambique. The MozYouth Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Salesian Network for Vocational Education, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership focused on strengthening professional skills and promoting youth employability in Mozambique.

The signing ceremony took place at the MozYouth offices and brought together representatives from both institutions, including Daniela Timmich from MozYouth’s Management Committee and Alfiado Francisco Mabui from the Salesian Network.

This partnership aims to create synergies between MozYouth’s internship programs and the technical and vocational training provided by the Salesian Network, enabling more young people to enter the job market with practical preparation aligned with the needs of the productive sector.

The agreement outlines areas of cooperation including candidate mobilization, joint training program development, and monitoring mechanisms to assess intern performance. As part of this collaboration, MozYouth will contribute its comprehensive internship management model — covering recruitment, testing, interviews, and pre-internship training — and continue to support interns throughout their placements to ensure value for both youth and host companies.

“This partnership represents an important step in our mission to empower Mozambican youth through concrete professional growth opportunities,” stated Daniela Timmich during the ceremony.

Alfiado Francisco Mabui highlighted the importance of building alliances with organizations committed to the integral development of young people, and the positive impact this collaboration will have across various provinces of the country.

With this agreement, MozYouth further strengthens its role as a national reference in supporting the transition from education to employment, reaffirming its commitment to building a more inclusive and sustainable future for Mozambique’s youth.
