Africa-Press – Mozambique. A five-year-old girl was electrocuted in Nampula after touching a live power cable in the Mutauanha neighbourhood on the outskirts of the city.
People in the neighbourhood speculate that the cable was cut by criminals who intended to steal it to sell for scrap, and the live part of the cable simply abandoned.
The little girl had left her grandmothers’ house to go play with her friends.
EDM teams rushed to the site to secure the cable.
