
Africa-Press – Mozambique. Eight secretaries of zones in the Natiquire neighbourhood, Nampula city, were arrested on Saturday (July 10) for violations of the State of Public Calamity decree.
The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in Nampula arrested the secretaries as they directed meetings to harmonise procedures for the attribution of subsidies to disadvantaged families, within the scope of Covid-19 prevention.
Spokesperson for the PRM in Nampula, Dércio Samuel, said that the apprehension of the group of individuals was made possible by a public tip off, and promised that the corporation would hold the perpetrators accountable.
