Africa-Press – Mozambique. A ticket collector on a bus belonging to the Kurula carrier died in a road accident on National Road Number 7 in Honde, Báruè district, this morning.
Six other people, including the driver, suffered serious injuries in the collision and were evacuated to Catandica Rural Hospital.
Information obtained at the scene indicates that the accident, involving the bus and a heavy goods vehicle, was caused by irregular overtaking combined with excessive speed on the part of the Kurula machimbombo, which was travelling in the Tete-Chimoio direction when it hit the side of the truck proceeding in the opposite direction.
The accident caused substantial material damage to both vehicles.
