Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Kulungwana Cultural Development Association on Thursday opened its “Crescente Collection 2025” exhibition at its gallery in Mozambique Central Railway Station.
In its 15th edition, the Crescente Collection once again asserts itself as an essential space for the visibility, experimentation and consecration of contemporary Mozambican art. Over the years, the initiative has already revealed more than two thousand works and promoted the work of more than a hundred emerging and established artists, from various corners of the country.
This year, the exhibition proposes a poetic and visual reflection on time, as matter, as thought and as a sensitive experience. The curatorship is signed by Mieke Oldenburg, who, based on reading and listening to the artists, constructs an exhibition narrative that crosses intimate and collective dimensions.

The text introducing the exhibition also includes the words of the writer Nelson Saúte, whose literary sensitivity invites us to look at time as an enigma that permeates the human condition and artistic gesture.

The exhibition will be on display until 21 June and will feature the usual awarding of the Futuro Melhor Prize, sponsored by Hollard Moçambique, which distinguishes three artists based on the originality, technique and conceptual relevance of their work.
The Royal Norwegian Embassy, a long-standing partner of Kulungwana, renews its support for the Crescente Collection, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the arts and freedom of creation in Mozambique.
