Africa-Press – Mozambique. Power Dynamos Football Club has been admitted into the African Club Association (ACA), becoming the first Zambian and 14th Club on the continent to join the continental body that brings together some of Africa’s most prestigious and successful football clubs.
The ACA is a growing movement representing football clubs across all of Africa’s 54 nations, and is united by a shared mission to elevate African football on the global stage.
The association aims to strengthen collaboration among clubs, protect their collective interests, and celebrate the rich legacy and achievements of African football.
The inclusion of Power Dynamos FC in the ACA places the Zambian giants and current Zambian Premier League defending Champions among an elite group of clubs that have committed to shaping the future of the game on the continent.
“As Zambian Premier League Champions, we believe that the association will promote unity and prove that African clubs are stronger when they work together by sharing experiences and advocating for the growth and professionalisation of the sport”, Power Dynamos President, Bennie Simukoko, said.
“Power Dynamos’ membership in the African Club Association is expected to enhance its continental profile and provide opportunities for greater engagement with leading clubs across Africa, as the ACA continues its drive to strengthen and uplift African football”, Mr. Simukoko added.
The clubs that have so far joined the ACA include African Stars of Namibia; Al Hilal SC of Sudan; AS Maniema Union and Saint Éloi Lupopo of the Democratic Republic of Congo; Atlético Petróleos de Luanda of Angola; Azam SC and Young Africans of Tanzania; Gaborone United of Botswana; South African powerhouses Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns; Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco; and now Power Dynamos of Zambia.
