President dismisses Arsénia Massingue, appoints Pascoal Ronda as Interior Minister of Mozambique

Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, today appointed Pascoal Ronda, former Commander General of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, to the position of Minister of the Interior, the Presidency said in a statement.

Pascoal Ronda will replace Arsénia Massingue, who was dismissed today, says the Mozambican Presidency document, without providing further details.

Arsénia Felicidade Félix Massinguehad held the position since November 2021.

Pascoal Pedro João Ronda, Inspector General in the reserve since 2004, commanded the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) between 1995 and 2001 – during the government led by Joaquim Chissano – and is currently a professor at the Academy of Police Sciences (ACIPOL)
