President to leave for Equatorial Guinea on state visit

Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will arrive in Malabo this Wednesday morning for a State Visit to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, from the 1st to the 3rd of June.

The Head of State visits Equatorial Guinea in response to an invitation extended by President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who visited Mozambique in April 2017.

According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, this official visit is aimed at strengthening existing ties of solidarity, friendship and political, economic, social and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

President Filipe Nyusi will be accompanied by the Ministers of Culture and Tourism, Edelvina Materula, of Mineral Resources and Energy, Carlos Joaquim Zacarias, Industry and Commerce, Silvino Moreno, by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves, members of staff of the Presidency of the Republic and other State institutions.
