President’s three-day working visit to Niassa: Power lines, a solar station and World Ranger Day on the agenda

Africa-PressMozambique. This Thursday, the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will begin a three-day working visit to Niassa province.

The Head of State will today inaugurate the TVM Digital Centre in the city of Lichinga and then move to the administrative post of Itepela, district of Ngaúma, where he will inaugurate the Itepela Electric Power Line, reads a statement from the Presidency of the Republic quoted by Rádio Moçambique.

On Friday, President Nyusi travels to the administrative post of Matchedje [Madjedje], in Sanga district, for the inauguration of the Matchedje Solar Power Station. On the same day, the Head of State will visit the administrative post of Macaloge, for the inauguration of the Macaloge Electric Power Line.

On Saturday (July 31), the President of the Republic visits Mecula district, where he will participate in the celebrations of World Ranger Day.

It should be noted that the commemoration of this date coincides with Mozambique joining “The Giants Club”, an initiative of Space for Giants, an organisation that aims to intensify the protection of elephants.

On this visit to Niassa province, President Nyusi will be accompanied by the ministers of Transport and Communications, Janfar Abdulai; of Land and Environment, Ivete Maibaze, members of staff of the Presidency of the Republic and other State institutions.
