Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Silvino Moreno, representing the Minister of Public Works, Housing, and Water Resources, has announced that the rehabilitation works of the drainage system in the city of Maputo will commence in July of this year.
Moreno explained that the project is currently being developed in collaboration with a Chinese company.
The minister stated that these are some of the activities initiated by the government to combat urban floods, with part of the efforts focused on the rehabilitation of the Chamanculo and Maxaquene neighborhoods. The project for these areas may be completed by June of the current year.”
