Africa-Press – Mozambique. The president of South Korea, Yoon Suk-yeol, on Monday conveyed to his Mozambican counterpart his interest in sharing experiences in the areas of education, health and agriculture, said Filipe Nyusi, who is visiting the Asian country.
‘It was a cordial meeting, where the results are promising, as President Suk-yeol showed openness to passing on his country’s experience to Mozambique in the context of investment in the crucial areas that have leveraged development, namely education, health and agriculture,’ Nyusi said in a message on his official Facebook account.
Mozambique’s head of state met in Seoul with his counterpart from the Republic of Korea as part of his working visit to the country, invited to the Korea-Africa Summit.
‘We agreed to strengthen our cooperation for the mutual benefit of our countries and peoples,’ he said.
On this visit, which began on Sunday, Mozambique’s president has met with the boards of South Korean giants Daewoo and Samsung.
The Korea-Africa summit will be attended by other heads of state and government from the African continent, representatives of multilateral organisations and chief executives of Korean and African companies.
The summit, which will take place from Tuesday to Wednesday, will be titled ‘The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity’.’
The Mozambican head of state, who is visiting South Korea at the invitation of his counterpart Yoon Suk-Yeol, will also take part in the Korea-Africa business forum.
On the sidelines of the summit, in addition to the bilateral meeting with his counterpart from the Republic of Korea, the President of Mozambique will have meetings ‘with chief executives of South Korean companies and with the Mozambican community living in the Republic of Korea’, according to the Mozambican Presidency.
