Africa-Press – Mozambique. Another alleged kidnapper has been detained by the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) in Sofala.
The arrest brings the number of suspects captured by SERNIC in Sofala in less than a year to eight.
SERNIC spokesperson Alfeu Sitoe said that the detainee was captured while trying to join his group to orchestrate yet another kidnapping.
The 40-year-old suspect, detained under an arrest warrant issued by the provincial judicial court, denies being part of the gang but admits to having received money from a source unknown to him.
