Africa-Press – Mozambique. The coordinator of the North Operational Theatre (TON), Brigadier Omar Saranga, announced yesterday in Macomia, Cabo Delgado, that four operational commanders of terrorist groups operating in the region had been killed by the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces.
Saranga was speaking to Cabo Delgado-based journalists at the Katupa base, retaken by Mozambican troops last July, as part of the inauguration of the resupply by road of forces stationed there.
He said that the men were killed on September 7, in the course of the pursuit of terrorists displaced from Katupa base.
