Africa-Press – Mozambique. Frelimo, the ruling party in Mozambique, and the Communist Party of China are betting on partnerships with mutual benefits aimed at accelerating the development of both nations.

This information was shared yesterday in Maputo by the Secretary-General (SG) of Frelimo, Roque Silva, during a seminar exchanging experiences in various development domains.

The event is part of the visit to the country by the Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Li Jiangou Ching.

Roque Silva said that Mozambique and China share the same progressive governance model, hence there is much information to be shared.

“That’s why we are counting heavily on deep interaction with China, one of the countries with a vision based on equality among citizens, a progressive vision, the same vision as Mozambique’s for development,” said Roque Silva.

“There are several initiatives that these states have been coordinating with the sole objective of accelerating the development process of their respective countries, but based on an increasingly intelligent partnership and grounded in reciprocity of benefits,” he emphasized.

The Frelimo SG also said that the Africa-China partnership has contributed to the development of the nations, hence it is important to deepen its procedure.

“This is a partnership that has been created by the initiative of the leadership, it belongs to our people, hence the importance at some point to talk with various segments of society about the significance of this partnership, its importance for the development of our countries,” he stressed.
