Africa-Press – Mozambique. The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) on Tuesday shut down a hard drugs dealer operating out of a house in Maputo’s Mafalala neighbourhood.
The location was given away by an addict caught by police in possession of drugs on a public highway.
As a result of the raid, three individuals are being held, two of them seized at the premises in possession of 850 units of heroin, valued at around 95,000 meticais.
SERNIC spokesman Hilário Lole said that attempts to discover the origin of the drugs seized were ongoing.
