Africa-Press – Mozambique. The eighth edition of the UCCLA-CMLisboa Literary Revelation Award – New Talents, New Works in Portuguese Language has extended its application deadline to February 10, 2023.

The UCCLA-CMLisboa Literary Revelation Prize aims to stimulate the production of literary works in Portuguese in the fields of prose fiction (novel, novel, short story and chronicle) and poetry, by previously unpublished writers.

Applications are open to persons of any nationality who are fluent in Portuguese and are at least 16 years old. In the case of minors under the age of 18, the attribution of prizes will be subject to delivery of a declaration of acceptance by the respective holders of parental authority.

Participation in this initiative must be done by midnight on 10-02-2023, by email to [email protected] under the terms set out in the Regulation.

This award, created in 2015, is an initiative of the Union of Capital Cities of Portuguese Language (UCCLA) in conjunction with the 800 Years of the Portuguese Language Movement. In 2020, two partnerships were established: one with the publisher Guerra e Paz, which will be responsible for publishing the award-winning work, and another with the Lisbon City Council, within the scope of the Lisbon Literary Festival – 5L.

Luís Carlos Patraquim – Mozambique;

Luís Costa – Timor-Leste;

Tony Cheka – Guinea-Bissau;

Yao Jing Ming – Macao;

Rui Lourido – UCCLA Representative; and

João Pinto de Sousa – Representative of the 800 Years of the Portuguese Language Movement.
