Africa-Press – Mozambique. The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) predicts the continuation of a heat wave in Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane provinces until Saturday, January 21, 2023, with hot, humid weather and maximum temperatures between 35 to 38 degrees Celsius.
In a statement issued this Wednesday (18-01), INAM details that the heat wave will be felt in the cities of Maputo and Matola, and Matutuine, Namaacha, Boane, Moamba, Magude and Marracuene districts of Maputo province.
In Gaza province, the heat will be most intense in the districts of Massingir, Chókwè, Chonguene, Bilene, Limpopo, Mandlakazi, Chicualacuala, Mapai, Mabalane, Chigubo, Massangena, Chibuto and Guijá.
In Inhambane, Funhalouro, Mabote and Panda districts will be hardest hit. INAM therefore recommends taking all appropriate precautionary and safety measures.
