AfricaPress-mozambique: The Minister of Health, Armindo Tiago, announced this Monday morning that Covid-19 samples sent to South Africa to be tested for the Delta (‘Indian’) variant had confirmed that the strain was now present in Mozambique, specifically in Tete province, in the centre of the country.
Armindo Tiago reiterated that the transmissibility of the Delta variant was notably high, adding that the situation in Tete province was worrying and calling for the strengthening of Covid-19 prevention measures.
