AfricaPress-mozambique: The Provincial Commander of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique in Manica, Francisco Raúl Simões, died on Sunday evening in a horrific road accident involving a truck and the vehicle in which he was travelling.
According to an eyewitness, the vehicle in which Commander Simões was travelling approached a tight curve in the area of the Sisters of the Catholic Church at too great a speed, lost control and strayed into the opposite lane, colliding with the truck.
Francisco Raúl Simões died on the spot and another victim, who was travelling in the same vehicle, lost his life on the way to the district hospital in Gondola.
