AfricaPress-mozambique: The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will address the nation regarding the Covid-19 situation at 7:00 p.m. tonight (Thursday, 24 June), a note from the Presidency of the Republic announces.
Mozambique reported five Covid-19 deaths on Wednesday.
This brings the number of deaths attributed to Covid-19 in June to 23, an increase of 35.3% compared to the same period in May, by which time 17 deaths had been registered.
The provisional June total is already higher than the total number of deaths (22) registered in May.
At present, the country has 2,050 active Covid-19 cases, with 857 deaths attributed to the respiratory disease.
