The Neckartal Dam near Keetmanshoop in the //Kharas Region has become a sight to behold after it began overflowing, drawing onlookers eager to witness the rare spectacle following recent inflows. According to the latest dam level figures provided by NamWater, the dam rose from 99.5% full on 23 March 2026 to 100.2% on 30 March 2026, surpassing its full capacity. The overflow comes amid recent rainfall in parts of southern Namibia, contributing to rising water levels at the country’s largest dam.
