Africa-Press – Namibia. An all-women camera crew from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology at the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup 2026 highlights the growing presence of women in technical roles in Namibia.
Ester Mweulyao, a sound engineer and camera assistant, says she completed her electronics training at the Windhoek Vocational Training Centre and holds a diploma in media studies.
She is currently pursuing her honours degree at the University of Namibia (Unam).
Ndakondja Kapenambili, another member of the crew, studied media studies at Unam and obtained a bachelor’s degree in communication from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (Nust).
She has been working at the ministry for three years.
“I love bringing news, but from behind the camera,” Kapenambili says.
Also part of the team is Hendrina Kagolo, an information officer with over six years’ experience in media studies and communications.
She says her passion for media, particularly radio and writing, developed at a young age.
The crew continues to play an important role in covering the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup 2026.
