Africa-Press – Namibia. JOHANNES Ndeutapo of Swapo was re-elected as the mayor of Omuthiya Town on Friday. However, Ndeutapo will not be deputized by anyone as they failed to nominate the deputy mayor.

Meanwhile, Beata Nashongo, Ester Kornelius, and Paulus Shimbangala were elected as members of the management committee, with Nashongo expected to chair.

While the position of ordinary council remains.

This brings a total of three vacant positions for the Omuthiya Town Council.

The Council also saw Councillors Moses Amukoto and Nghipudilo ya Shiindi, both of the Independent Patriots for Change, suspended on 24 July for alleged misconduct and/or violation of the council’s code of conduct.

Amukoto was suspended for 30 working days, while Ya Shiindi’s suspension is for an indefinite period.
