The One Economy Foundation marked a milestone as it hosted its 10th celebration and annual fundraising soirée, themed ‘Weaving Legacy, Stitching Futures’, on Friday.
The event raised an impressive N$3.4 million, underscoring strong public support for the foundation’s decade-long mission to uplift Namibia’s youth through meaningful programmes and partnerships.Cycling gear
In her keynote address, former first lady and One Economy’s executive chairperson Monica Geingos delivered a reflection on leadership and collective purpose.
She said, “I am a coach. We cannot all be players”.
Her words resonated throughout the venue, reminding attendees of the importance of guidance and strategic support in driving sustainable social change through guidance and supportive leadership.
The funds raised at the soirée will be invested in core initiatives such as the #BeFree Youth Campus, expanding mental and reproductive health services and enhancing programming to address sexual and gender-based violence.
On the night, guests were treated to an evening of rich culture and heartfelt storytelling.
Highlights include a nostalgic and electrifying performance by the legendary duo Raphael and Pele.
