PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is participating in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) session, held alongside the 80th UN General Assembly.

Her involvement underscores Namibia’s commitment to fostering a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient global economy, in line with the Pact for the Future. The initiative, which includes the Biennial Summit on Financing for Development, brings together world leaders and multilateral institutions to pursue shared goals for sustainable development.

For Namibia, the global agenda aligns closely with the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6), which focuses on inclusive growth, climate resilience, food security, sustainable industrialisation, and strong international partnerships. By aligning national development strategies with global cooperation, Namibia aims to ensure its citizens benefit from a fairer and more equitable international system.
