Africa-Press – Namibia. PRESIDENT Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has congratulated Namibian businessman and philanthropist Benjamin Hauwanga on being honoured by the Government of Angola’s Cunene Province for his humanitarian contributions.
The recognition, awarded during Angola’s 50th Independence celebrations, highlights Hauwanga’s longstanding efforts to support vulnerable communities through education, healthcare and housing initiatives. His projects include the construction of schools, clinics and 96 houses in Ondjiva for families affected by the country’s civil war.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah praised Hauwanga for his compassion, generosity and commitment to strengthening ties between Namibia and Angola, countries connected by deep historical and emotional bonds. She said his continued support embodies true Pan-African solidarity.
On behalf of the government and the people of Namibia, the President congratulated Hauwanga on the honour and thanked him for exemplifying the values of humility, service and humanity.
