Africa-Press – Namibia. NAMIBIA will go head-to-head with Brazil in the final round of the Rugby World Cup 2027 repechage after missing out on direct qualification. The Welwitschias failed to secure a spot for the tournament in Australia following losses to Belgium and Samoa in earlier repechage matches.
The ongoing repechage tournament will conclude on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, in Dubai. Namibia will face Brazil in Round 3, while the winner of Samoa versus Belgium will earn the Final Place Winner spot, claiming the last remaining berth at Australia 2027.
Kick-off for Namibia vs Brazil is scheduled for 15:00 CAT at The Sevens Stadium. This marks the first-ever encounter between the two teams, with Namibia entering the match in the best form of their last five games.
Heading into the match, Namibia is ranked 27th in the World Rugby Rankings, while Brazil sits at 33rd. With a six-place gap, Namibia are the favourites on paper.
Official squad lists for Namibia and Brazil are expected to be announced 24–48 hours before kick-off, with teams allowed to make changes up to one hour before the match.
