Africa-Press – Namibia. GONDWANA Collection Namibia has reported widespread and encouraging rainfall across many of its properties between 1 July and 29 December 2025, with particularly strong rain activity recorded in the Kavango and Zambezi regions, signalling a robust rainy season across large parts of the country.
According to the hospitality group, the Etosha Collection has recorded notable rainfall, with Etosha Safari Lodge and Camp receiving 199 millimetres, while Etosha King Nehale recorded 146 millimetres. The Kalahari region has also benefited, with Gondwana Kalahari Park measuring 156 millimetres of rain during the same period.

Additional rainfall figures include 124 millimetres in Windhoek, 94 millimetres at Kalahari Farmhouse, 89 millimetres at Damara Mopane Lodge, 30 millimetres at Omarunga Epupa Falls Camp, 26 millimetres at Klein-Aus Vista, 19 millimetres at Gondwana Canyon Park, 10 millimetres at Gondwana Namib Park and 7 millimetres at Palmwag Lodge and Camp.
Gondwana said the widespread rainfall has brought renewed vitality to several ecosystems, with landscapes across Etosha and the Kalahari showing visible improvement. The company expressed hope that the rainfall system would continue moving south and west, bringing further precipitation to the Canyon, Klein-Aus Vista, and the Namib and Kunene collections in the coming weeks.
In a New Year message, Gondwana Collection Namibia extended its wishes for a positive and fulfilling 2026, adding that the start of a new year offers an opportunity for renewal, reflection and exploration.
