Africa-Press – Namibia. THE TransNamib Board has confirmed that it has resolved to temporarily suspend two executives, namely Webster Gonzo (Executive – Human Capital) and Alynsia Platt (Executive – Properties), for alleged irregularities.

Abigail Raubenheimer, public relations officer at TransNamib, stated that the Board, in consultation with the Minister of Works and Transport, affirms this decision as part of the ongoing process and to ensure transparency and integrity in the matter.

“The precautionary suspension follows a forensic investigation related to property mismanagement, disposal irregularities and statutory breaches. The suspensions are pending disciplinary proceedings against the suspended executives, as the investigation has been concluded. TransNamib’s Board and Management are committed to good governance and continue to always act in the best interests of the business and all its stakeholders.

We believe this is the right decision under the circumstances and wish to assure our esteemed stakeholders and customers of our commitment to transparency and integrity,” Raubenheimer said.
