Africa-Press – Namibia. IN order to promote purity and adherence to the word of God, men are expected to gather at Okandjengedi in the Oshana Region to commemorate Bernard Mizeki.

Bernard Mizeki was a lay African catechist and missionary who was killed in 1896.

Therefore, on June 18, 2023, the Anglican men will observe their special day at the Okandjengedi Anglican Parish.

Martin Heikky, the chairperson of the association at Okandjengedi, stated that the purpose of this day is for men to fulfil their role in carrying out Christ’s work of peace and reconciliation in the world, representing Christ and his church at all times.

“We are spreading the gospel of God, worshipping and governing the church, and seeking to know, love, and follow Jesus in order to transform the world into the Kingdom of God,” he said.

Heikky added that they are proclaiming the Kingdom of God as revealed in Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, they will be hosting a choir competition on this day, inviting churches from across the region to participate.
