Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Blue City Football Club were on Saturday crown champions of the Elombe Sports Tournament after defeating Genius FC.
As champions, the club walked away with N$5 000 and floating trophy.
Genius FC took N$3 000, while Fizza Pop FC as third-place winners scooped N$2 000.
Member of the organizing committee Mike Ashipala said the tournament was a resounding success with 24 teams having participated in their 15th edition.
Ashipala said all proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Elombe Combined School, to assist the school in addressing its developmental agenda which is key to enhancing the quality education of the Namibian child.
The next edition of the sports event is set to take place on the 28-30 December 2023.
