Africa-PressNamibia. NAMIBIA has failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar following a 3-1 loss to Senegal earlier today at the Orlando stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.

During the fourth matchday of group H of the African qualifiers, all the three goals for Senegal’s Teranga Lions were scored by Famara Diedhiou, while the Namibian Brave Warrior’s only goal was scored by Peter Shalulile.

The results mean that Senegal has became the first team to qualify to the next round of the qualifiers. Brave Warrior’s Coach Bobby Samaria said that it was a tough game and that there was an injury during the game after central defender Ananias Gebhardt was hurt.

Gebhardt has since been taken to hospital for scans on his right foot after he was injured towards the end of the first half with the score at 1-1. Senegal also beat Namibia 1-4 last weekend at the Stade Lat Dior in Thies, Senegal.
