Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Windhoek Central Hospital has banned patient visitation, effective 7 December.
This was outlined in a memo dated 3 December 2021. “No visitors are allowed to visit patients, due to an increase in Covid-19 cases in the community.”
The chief medical superintendent Dr David Uirab confirmed the memo to The Namibian, saying the Covid-19 cases have been skyrocketing as of late. He said family members can make contact with patients telephonically.
“However, for critical family members hospitalised, we can make provision and the nurses will be told to inform the security guards in terms of who can be allowed to visit,” Uirab said.
