Africa-Press – Namibia. THIS weekend’s scheduled cricket matches in Windhoek have been cancelled due to incessant rain in the capital.
Cricket Namibia issued a statement saying that due to the ongoing rain and water logged pitches, the following venues in the capital will not be in a condition to host league matches:
They are United, Wanderers, WHS, CCD and the Doc Jubber field.
According to Cricket Namibia’s statement, all matches affected will be declared as draws.
The only Premier League match that has been affected is the one between Wanderers and CCD which was supposed to take place at the Wanderers field.
The weekend’s other scheduled Premier League match at the coast between MR24/7 Welwitschia and WHS Old Boys will however still take place.
