DBN Leverages Technology in Electronic Recruitment System

Africa-Press – Namibia. The Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) has launched an electronic recruitment system to make the recruitment process faster and more efficient.

Launched on 1 October, the system aims to strengthen compliance and traceability of decisions, reinforcing credibility and fairness in the hiring process.

Emailed and hand-delivered applications will no longer be accepted. Applicants are required to submit their applications through the system via the website.

According to DBN, this is part of its broader digital transformation agenda of using technology to create opportunities, simplify processes and improve efficiency.

DBN chief marketing and corporate affairs officer Jerome Mutumba says the system will improve the internal recruitment process and the systems that enable the bank to offer better experiences.

“The introduction of the E-recruitment system marks a strategic step forward, enhancing our ability to build a future-ready workforce and streamline our talent acquisition process. Supported by advanced artificial intelligence tools, this platform empowers DBN to identify, engage and grow the capabilities essential for our continued impact and growth,” he says.

He adds that the system will also manage DBN employees’ talent pool by providing visibility into their talent profiles, enabling career growth, internal mobility and secondments.

“By enhancing both recruitment and internal talent management, the bank strengthens its ability to attract top talent while providing employees with greater opportunities for growth within DBN,” Mutumba adds.
