Africa-Press – Namibia. President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says desperate politicians are spreading rumours about her health.
In a video by the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Nandi-Ndaitwah says “a Namibian citizen” claims she collapsed twice.
Nandi-Ndaitwah was speaking during a Swapo victory celebration at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek on Saturday.
“What a shame! This is nothing more than the act of a desperate politician,” she said.
The president-elect said she has been on the ground campaigning since 2022 and has not been to a hospital since then.
“Let me take this opportunity to reassure you all of my commitment to fulfilling the promises I have made during the campaigns,” she said
