Africa-Press – Namibia. Energy, Capital & Power (ECP) – the leading global, Africa-focused investment platform for the energy sector – is proud to announce that it is strongly supporting the 2022 edition of the Global Black Impact Summit as a gold sponsor.

Powered by the Black Impact Foundation, this year’s edition of the Global Black Impact Summit will take place under the theme ‘The Power of Black Women to Unite and Build our Global Community’ on December 8, 2022, at the Almas Conference Centre, Dubai, UAE.

Now in its second edition, the Global Black Impact Summit continues to establish and showcase black people as a global community of role models and influential and impactful leaders driving positive change across the globe.

Black women have for long been excluded and denied an opportunity to implement their deep knowledge base in driving innovation, employment creation and investments across the energy sector for stability and growth of both the global economy and black communities. However, with platforms such as the Global Black Summit in place and spreading awareness on gender diversity and black women inclusion in local content development and capacity building, this is changing. In this regard, ECP is proud to support this year’s edition of the Global Black Impact Summit, as a gold sponsor, to celebrate black women excellence and make them visible to empower the next-generation black women and industry growth.

“ECP is proud to participate at this year’s Global Black Impact Summit as a gold sponsor. We believe the black community has a lot to offer in terms of energy security and a just energy transition across the globe if opportunities for more black people to participate in the industry and other sectors are created. The significance of the black community to drive economic empowerment has already been indicated on the global stage. Through platforms such as the Global Black Impact Summit, we aim to advance this,” states Laila Bastati, Managing Director, ECP.

Meanwhile Africa’s human and vast yet untapped natural resources – which includes the world’s youngest population and significant shares of mineral, oil and natural gas reserves – are key to turning the continent into a global economic powerhouse, the Global Black Impact Summit will host high-level panel discussions and keynote speeches – featuring some of the world’s leading black entrepreneurs and leaders such as H.E Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados; Clarence Seedorf, former Dutch professional football manager and player and Chairman of Black Impact Foundation – to discuss the role of the world’s black community and the continent’s human and natural resources in driving socioeconomic developments for all races.

Through motivational speeches and networking sessions, the 2022 Global Black Impact Summit provides a platform for black people to connect and create opportunities for black talents across various sectors including health, education, energy, oil and gas, sports, entertainment, manufacturing and Information Technology.
